agile training
"Great personality. Engaging vs. lecture! Great class for those stuck in the waterfall "designed to fail late" project structure. This training will provide all the tools necessary to break from out-dated project methodologies."
- Agile Development with Scrum
"I was grateful we didn’t have to break into groups and do role playing. That, to me, would show that he didn’t have much information to share. Kevin was very thorough and had PLENTY to talk about."

Overview
This 2-day workshop focuses on what it means to be agile and uses Scrum, one of the most widely used agile frameworks, to highlight the core values and principles in agile. In addition to Scrum, we will introduce practices from other frameworks such as Kanban, XP and Lean that compliment and support the unique environments where agile is applied. This course is meant for people that are serious about changing the way they go about delivering projects quickly and more easily. These are real world, tested strategies and tactics that will help your organization create an agile culture. This course also provides you the opportunity to better understand one of the most important elements in an agile transformation, the people. The emotional intelligence or EQ of each individual team member is an important factor to any agile transformation. This workshop provides a behavioral assessment that will help team members become more self aware and provide insight to help in effectively communicating with other members of your team and organization. This is the game changer that helps propel agile transformations to an entirely new level. The workshop provides a foundational introduction to the agile values and principles that allow you and your organization to transform the mindset to be agile, not do agile. Specifically, we'll discuss how to help your customers and teams identify and evolve requirements to more closely match their desires, establish iterative and incremental delivery, flexible and rapid response to change, knowledge acquisition, time-boxed iterations, visualizing work, adopting a continual improvement mindset and instiling a disciplined approach to communicating prioritization and separation of responsibilities. You will leave with an agile roadmap that utilizes the simplicity of communication and prioritization provided by Scrum, coupled with the visual representation of work in Kanban, powerful elements from XP and the continual improvement focus of Lean. Extensive hands-on exercises throughout the 2 days allow participants to put these practices into action through a comprehensive capstone project.
